Since 2010 Theo Zwygers has been Supply Chain Director at LyondellBasell, a world leader in plastics, chemicals and refining with 55 manufacturing sites worldwide. During his career, Theo has worked in business development and commercial roles, has built plants in Asia, and has been responsible for supply chains in Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas.

Michael is VP - Head of Global Integrated Business Planning and Supply Chain Operations in the business unit TSR of Lanxess AG, that will be part of the forthcoming joint venture between LANXESS and Saudi Aramco to create a world-leading joint venture for synthetic rubber in 2016.  Michael has extensive experience in maintenance engineering support, procurement, supply chain, operations, business planning, and regional and global product management  serving small to large businesses.  Michael was stationed in Europe, United States and Asia, hence he is well acquainted with different work cultures, regional business practices and the challenges achieving SCE across regions.

Iveta leads the Center of Supply Chain Expertise at Covestro, former Bayer MaterialScience. Over the last 15 years Iveta has supported business transformations for various global corporations across industries. She led five Lean Six Sigma deployments, coached 70+ project leaders and Master Black Belts delivering annualized savings of over €100m through their projects and programs, and trained nearly 500 professionals across belts, hierarchies and functions in Lean, Six Sigma and Design for Six Sigma. Iveta is certified Master Black Belt, Lean Sensei and ASQ Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence.

Keisuke Sadamori took up his duties as Director of the Office for Energy Markets and Security at the International Energy Agency in October 2012. Previously, he held the post of Deputy Director General for Policy Co-ordination at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in Japan. He had been involved with the IEA for a number of years as IEA Governing Board Representative for Japan and as Co-Chair of the Standing Group on Long Term Co-operation. Over the years, Mr. Sadamori has served in the Cabinet of the Prime Minister of Japan and has coordinated numerous important projects, including work following the Fukushima-Daiichi accident in March 2011.

Karl Huhn has been involved in various Supply Chain roles at Wacker over the last 15 years. This includes the implementation of Supply Chain Excellence initiatives in Wacker’s Polymers as well as Silicones business divisions like the roll-out of Demand and Supply network Planning processes together with global networks of accompanying S&OP processes. Prior to the Supply Chain roles he has gained experiences in Technical Service, Business Management, and Operations at Wacker in Europe and the United States.

Wolfgang has a rich experience from supply chain management and Operations. He is current Executive Vice President – Global Supply Chain with Perstorp where he formed the entire Supply Chain organization coming from a business oriented organization. He implemented Integrated Business Planning and a Category Procurement organization during his first 2 years which provides significant savings as well as better integrated planning which leads to higher service rates and lower working capital.

Folkert joined ICL July 2014 in the global procurement leadership team that was created as part of ICL’s Next Step Forward strategy. This is a period where ICL moves from decentralized self-governing entities to the creation of One ICL with global functions of IT and Procurement, the set-up of Shared Service Centers and migrating all business to one single ERP platform. In his role as VP Global Logistics Procurement, Folkert challenge is to build a logistics procurement department covering the sourcing of logistics services and packaging materials on a global basis, smoothly take over spend from all the different entities and in the mean team deliver lower costs while improving the service to the internal business partners and customers. From his broad business experience in the (petro) chemical field where next to several supply chain roles he has held positions in procurement, marketing and sales, Folkert can combine his business insight and understanding of supply chain developments to create successful procurement strategies.

Paul is currently EMEA IT Manager for sourcing & logistics with DuPont where he is leading a transformational program focussed on logistics systems modernisation. This program will result in a simplified, cost-effective model and will be foundational for DuPont’s future strategy. He has extensive global experience and a passion for building global organizations and high performing teams to ensure stability and continuous improvement of information technology for continuity of business operations.

After completing his Ph.-D. thesis in industrial engineering, he joined Bayer AG and worked in several positions, including Business Consulting, Product Supply Management and Product Management. Currently, he is employed with the Supply Chain Center of Covestro AG (carved out from Bayer AG in September 2015). As Global Process Owner, he is responsible for global process design, implementation and integrity of Order-to-cash in the regions EMEA/LATAM, APAC and NAFTA. He manages the portfolio of optimization projects in Order Management at Covestro.

Daniel is the Head of Planning and Logistics for EMEA for two commercial units of Ashland. He started his career at BASF with main focus on SAP implementation projects and S&OP process before moving to Ashland, where he manages MTS, MTO and continuous production businesses as well as several logistic configurations.  His main focus is meeting customers’ expectations while balancing operational and capital costs together with motivating and developing high performing teams.

Prof. Ton de Kok is the Director of the European Supply Chain Forum at Eindhoven University of Technology and also the Director of the European Supply Chain Forum (eSCF). Ton specialises in supply chain operations planning, supply chain optimization, forecasting and production planning. He is a critically acclaimed leading authority on supply chain and logistics having published over 85 articles in international scientific journals. His current area of focus is on Supply Chain Management and Concurrent Engineering with emphasis on quantitative analysis. His research results have been successfully tested and implemented in a multitude of projects with industry. For the next 5 years his research focus is on SCM in Configure-To-Order supply chains and SCM in process industry.

Thomas joined BASF in 1998 into the logistics organisation before relocating to Asia in 2006. Between 2006 and 2010 Thomas headed up the Supply Chain Management and IT organisation of BASF in Korea and in 2010 became the Director of Logistics and Supply Chain Management in China as a result of a joint venture with Sinopec. Following his return in 2013, Thomas is now Vice President of Supply Chain Operations for Europe. Thomas joined the LogiChem Advisory Board in 2014 and has played an integral role in ensuring the programme addresses the industry's most critical challenges.

As Head of Global Logistics at Syngenta, Marion has responsibilities in supporting and leading change, working with leadership teams to create their change journey, identification and implementation of management systems as well as auditing for continuous improvement.

Tobias is responsible for the formation of a new SCM function in the new Business Unit Keltan Elastomers. He is currently reviewing and harmonizing global S&OP & OTC processes, as well as global Warehouse & Logistics concepts. He is leading the design of all SCM processes & infrastructure for the new Chinese EPDM plant in Changzhou (160kt p.a.)

Frank Andreesen has in-depth knowledge of chemical logistics, covering all modes of transport as well as warehousing and associated logistics services. Over the past 25 years he has developed a clear vision for the development of the logistics industry, both from a shipper’s as well as logistics service providers’ perspective. Frank has been involved in various outsourcing projects in the petroleum- and chemical industry, involving large-scale transport and distribution operations as well as the provision of associated logistics services. 

Franky is currently director global supply chain for Advanced Materials at Eastman Chemicals. He has 20 years experience in supply chain with Monsanto, Solutia, UCB and Cytec. Franky has been involved in several company integrations as part of acquisitions. He leads the global planning organization, customer service, global transport and warehousing at Eastman and most recently, his focus has been working on network and sourcing optimization.

Guillermo is the global process owner for Order-to-Cash and a Member of the Management Committee of Global Business Services at Clariant International ltd. In his new position, Guillermo is responsible for the global operations linked to the end to end OTC process including Credit Control, Order Management, Logistics, Account Receivables and Cash Collection. In his role Guillermo understands the importance of generating value in the supply chain through shared service centers, a topic he will be sharing his experience on at LogiChem 2016.

An D’Haenens is the Logistics Sourcing Leader at DuPont with responsibility for all transport and warehouse services across DuPont's businesses in Europe. In her previous position as European Supply Chain Manager EMEA for DuPont’s paint business, she acquired extensive knowledge on all aspects of supply chain management.

An received a Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Ghent, Belgium and a Master of Business Administration at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent Management School. She joined DuPont in 1991 and held various positions in Manufacturing, Business Management and International Supply Chain Management.

Peter Buysse, has 16 years experience in business process improvements & project management in logistics and supply chain. Having a strong focus on process performance, Peter has lead and coached various teams towards successful system process implementations covering both Chemical & Seeds/Vegetable divisions of Monsanto in Western & Eastern Europe. Within this role he has been actively managing the interfacing processes between IT and the business. Recently a lot of focus was on enabling collaboration processes between the different internal & external supply chain  partners. Currently he is EMEA SC Improvement Lead, Customer Care as part of the Antwerp based EMEA Supply Chain Competence, Strategy & Operations Team.

As Head of SCM at Archroma, Tim is currently engaged in the design and implementation of a Global S&OP process for the Textiles, Paper and Emulsions businesses of Archroma. Before this, Tim has gained extensive experience of all facets of supply chain management having been DSCM Director at DSM Food Specialties and Logistics Director at Rohm and Haas, as well as Principal Consultant at Camelot. Tim holds an MBA from INSEAD and has been a long-serving member of the LogiChem Advisory Board.

Tanguy joined Allnex in 2013 as European Supply Chain Manager for the Radcure business unit, responsible for the planning, logistics and customer service organizations. He has previously occupied various Supply Chain management positions at Eastman Kodak where he notably worked on several OTC process and Lean improvement initiatives. Over the past 2 years, Tanguy rolled out, as pilot region, the implementation of the single ERP platform across his Supply Chain organization and integrating it with a company-wide reshaped S&OP process to deliver increased capacity and demand visibility to support the company organic growth strategy.

Peter has been playing a leading role in different Supply Chain fields over the last 20 years. After joining Monsanto he served in several roles in Planning, Customer Service & Logistics for the Chemicals division. In 2005, Peter started up a new Supply Chain Competency Center based in Antwerp, Belgium. This Competency Center is focusing on improving the EMEA Business & Supply Chain processes and forms the liaison between Business and IT for the 3 Monsanto divisions: Agro-chemicals, Seeds & Vegetables. This Competence Center has been transformed to cope with Mfg, Quality, Supply Chain and Finance related Business Process Improvements & Projects.

Having joined Sumitomo Chemical Europe with regional responsibility for Europe, Turkey and Africa in 2007, one of Henning’s major tasks was the set-up of the Sumitomo Chemical and Aramco Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia, Petro Rabigh Company together with Sumitomo Chemical Asia, Singapore. Henning has a distinguished and varied career of 20 years with BP Chemicals International with experience covering Supply Chain Management, Mergers & Acquisitions, Business Development and Sales & Marketing. 

Roger Moore has some 45 years experience in a variety of supply chain, logistics and customer service leadership roles with major producers in the European chemical industry. 

After commencing his career with Procter and Gamble, in 1979 the opportunity came to move to Dow Chemical in the UK . Later assignments took him to France and then Switzerland. Roger returned to the UK in 1990. 

In 1994 he moved to The Netherlands as European Distribution Manager for the Chemicals Division of Air Products and Chemicals inc. He established an integrated supply chain organization leading a multi-national team responsible for distribution operations, service procurement, inventory planning and customer services.  

In 2007 he successfully launched his own consultancy / interim management company in The Netherlands. In 2008 he joined Ineos Styrenics as European Supply Chain Manager. In 2012 following the formation of the global styrenics joint venture between Ineos and BASF , he joined the new company , Styrolution, as Customer Services Manager – Italy.  

He retired early in 2014

Ralph  has over 15 years’ experience in various functions throughout the Paper & Board and the Chemical industry with a focus on Chemical Engineering and Supply Chain Planning. In his current role he is responsible for  the S&OP process and  the optimization of the chemical production assets throughout Europe.  Ralph has been working on SAP implementations and the introduction of different optimizations tools and processes.

Martin Laub is a Director and Supply Chain Capability Lead EMEA at Hitachi Consulting. With 20 years of experience in consulting, Martin’s work with clients spans numerous industries, predominantly in Manufacturing. He is a Supply Chain expert with robust experience in supply chain management, supply chain performance improvement, integrated planning, sourcing and procurement, supplier management, operational strategy, business management systems and associated business processes. His work has resulted in his clients being able to make considerable financial savings, and several of the projects he has worked on have won industry awards.

A BearingPoint partner, Andreas has over 20 years of consulting experience with global clients in chemicals and life sciences industries. He focuses on linking strategy to improvements in a company’s value chain. His functional expertise includes commercial excellence, supply chain management, performance measurement, and operating model review. Andreas led numerous supply chain management programs for multi-national chemical corporations. Andreas holds a Diploma in Industrial Engineering from Technical University of Berlin, Germany.

A highly experienced and well respected global, end to end supply chain leader, Mick Jones has held a number of key executive roles in supply chain and logistics over the last 25 years, across multiple markets and in both shipper and 3-PL based organisations. Most recently – as VP Global Logistics and Supply Chain Strategy - Mick successfully led the supply chain element of the acquisition, merger and integration of the IBM X86 business into Lenovo, alongside the creation of the supply chain strategy for Lenovo, and the formation of an end to end 4PL logistics operation and an integrated logistics and manufacturing network for the business. Prior to that Mick spent 5 years leading the creation, development, and ultimately the operation of the then new $1Bn + Global Logistics organisation in Lenovo and managed the end to end Supply Chain within the EMEA region, employing 500 people across 30 sites across the world. The Lenovo Network manages movements from components inbound to manufacturing, through to reverse, returns and service parts networks – covering the movement of over 120M PC’s, Tablets, Phones and Options from 50 sources of supply to customers in over 190 countries. It has been one of the foundations for the successful growth of Lenovo over the last 5 years to its current number 1 position in PC Sales. With sound and wide ranging M&A and Turnaround experience, Mick thrives on ‘new challenges’, innovation and change and relishes the contest of creating something from new or fixing something from broken.

Michael has vast experience and expertise within the chemicals sector having worked across a variety of areas in the industry throughout his career. A specialist in areas such as supply chain strategy in the boardroom of chemical companies, international freight forwarding & end to end supply chain management, chemical logistics, cold chain logistics and customs brokerage, we are delighted to have Michael come and speak at LogiChem 2016.

Piet joined VLS-Group in 2015 as Director Competence Center located in Antwerp. He is responsible for carrying out Operational excellence, Business Intelligence, Implementation, Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation and SSHEQ. He has previously worked in several operational and supply chain management functions within different leading logistics service providers and has over 15 years experiences in Supply Chain Optimization, warehousing and distribution (Both line and staff management). 

Piet has a B.S. in Logistics Management from Vervoersacademie, Hogeschool Venlo, MBA (MTL in Transport & logistics Services University Tilburg (NL) and is SCOR-P Certified.

Cosmas Hoefnagels brings consulting and operational management experience to his role at CLX Logistics Europe. His industry experience includes supply chain design, operational improvement, 3PL/4PL logistics contract management and international project management. 

Specifically, Mr. Hoefnagels was directly involved with the design, implementation and operational management of the EMEA logistics configuration for one of the world’s leading high-tech and computer equipment manufacturers. He managed the commercial development and contract management of multiple warehousing and distribution outsourcing deals throughout Europe and USA. Additionally, he oversaw the set-up and operational management of Central European Distribution Centers for various companies in the high tech, automotive and consumer business industries. 

Prior to joining CLX Logistics Europe, Mr. Hoefnagels held senior management positions at Intexo (DHL), TNT Logistics, DSV Solutions and Alliance Boots, and served as a consultant and manager at A.T. Kearney.

With many different stations in his career Bernhard Herzog combines expertise from chemical technology through project and marketing responsibilities to the vast field of supply chain management. At OXEA he is responsible for the company’s global S&OP, customer relations, trade compliance and logistics optimization. Prior to OXEA Bernhard Herzog worked at Celanese and Hoechst AG, where he started his professional path roughly 20 years ago.

Bachelor in Industrial Chemistry and master in Industrial and Technological Management by Escuela de Organizacion Industrial, joined Cepsa Petrochemical business unit 18 years ago, starting as plant process engineer, moving into plant area manager after 2 years expansion project and expatriated into Montreal for technical assistance after a site start up. After 11 years working in different positions, engineering and production on different production sites, he was moved to Cepsa Headquarters in Madrid joining Business Development department. 

He took later Cepsa Quimica Planning Manager position, responsible for the production plans, commercial planning of Cepsa Quimica worldwide sites and logistics in bulk for Europe and MED. During this stage, worked intensively in optimization projects and coordination between the different sites. Is here when he developed the Quay Reel loading system with the help of Techflow Marine, project under patent process and awarded with an EDISON AWARD in 2016. 

Presently, working as Senior Vice President Supply Chain of Cepsa Quimica, being responsible from raw material procurement, production and commercial plans, to the hole logistic chain (Chartering, road and intermodal) for the different production sites worldwide

Graduated cum-laude in Econometrics and Operations Research at Tilburg University, where he also obtained a PhD in Quantitative Logistics. In his time as academic researcher, he focused on the application of quantitative models in supply chain design and planning. His work resulted in several publications in leading scientific journals. Before joining EyeOn, Ieke worked for TNT Express and Philips in various supply chain improvement roles. He specialized in Lean Six Sigma first as Black Belt and later as Master Black Belt responsible for major improvements program. Since his employment at EyeOn he has worked for a wide array of companies in the FMCG, High Tech and Process industry. He is well experienced in improving demand planning & forecasting processes and implementing Sales & Operations Planning. Together with Stijn Rutjes, he is leading the ‘Process Industry Business Team’ that is serving customers in the chemical-, feed-, food ingredients- and packaging industry.

Studied Industrial Engineering and Management Science at Eindhoven University of Technology, in the field of Logistic Control Systems. Stijn has broad experience in designing, improving and implementing innovative supply chain planning and control processes at various companies operating in the food, high-tech and process industry. Together with Ieke le Blanc, he is leading the ‘Process Industry Business Team’ that is serving customers in the chemical-, feed-, food ingredients- and packaging industry. Before Stijn joined EyeOn, he worked 7 years for DSM Coating Resins. Within DSM he has been responsible for the implementation of demand planning within the various sales departments, has been European logistics managers and was responsible for the Sales & Operations Planning process for one of the market segments.

Howard is Commercial Director for Agility Chemicals with responsibility for the development and implementation of collaborative customer solutions as an integrated logistics service provider. He has over 18 years of logistics experience that started with the international chemicals manufacturer ICI, before transitioning to Agility. At Agility his functional experience and senior management positions have spanned Procurement, Operations, Account Management and all modes attached to Land and Ocean freight.

Frank is a Partner in the Advisory Services service line and is a member of the Advisory Executive Team in GSA (Germany, Switzerland and Austria). He leads the Strategy & Operations Unit in GSA. 

As the leader of Strategy & Operations in GSA Frank has over 20 years of extensive expertise in Supply Chain Process Modeling & Design, Organizational Change Management, Business Improvement Initiatives and Transformational Excellence.

Tim has 20 years’ experience providing client focused delivery of MRO Optimisation analytics-based technology and consulting services. Oniqua has enabled many Global 500 companies to significantly improve their asset performance by leveraging the Oniqua Analytics Solution, the world’s leading analytics-based MRO technology for asset-intensive industries. Prior to Oniqua, Tim held a number of engineering and business development roles at Knovel/Elsevier, Marconi, British Aerospace and IHS Intermat focusing on MRO inventory optimisation and data cleansing. 

Tim qualified in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering and has spoken at a number of international events on the subject of MRO Optimisation and Data Cleansing.

As COO of H.Essers, Pascal Vranken combines the general management of both warehousing and transport. By merging both functions, he emphasizes the combination of Warehousing & Transport services and offers tailor made, state of the art logistic solutions, according to the individual needs of the customers. An even more consolidated approach will optimize the logistic services. This will lead to a better cooperation and alignment of the transport and warehouse processes, which will result in more organizational transparency and an increased service level.
